Founded in 2020, The We Care Community Dental Foundation (WCCDF) is a mission-driven organization committed to increasing access to oral health care and delivering patient-centric quality care in local and international underserved communities. We believe oral health care is a basic human right, and everyone should be able to access great quality dental care. Our organization finds areas in which we can make the most profound difference and those that reflect our organizational value of service.At WCCDF, we understand dental care is more than fixing teeth. Great dental care improves overall health, self-esteem, and quality of life. Our programs and services address different communities and populations' unique needs, from children to seniors, low-income families to individuals with disabilities.Our main focus is providing affordable or free dental services to individuals needing dental help, such as cleanings, fillings, root canals, extractions, crowns, and dentures. We also support and collaborate with other organizations and providers to offer preventive, educational, and referral services.The WCCDF is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit charitable organization with the mission to improve the oral health of the local underserved community through volunteering and funding along with the vision to support projects and programs with a component that improves the oral health of the underserved community. The WCCDF manages and administers grants, donations, and contributions to sustain community outreach services and activities and promotes volunteer service opportunities to help the underserved and educate the public on oral healthcare.The WCCDF is governed by a Board of Directors composed of dental professionals, community leaders, and representatives of the population we serve. The Board sets policies, oversees the management, and ensures the accountability and transparency of the organization.The WCCDF is affiliated with WE CARE DENTAL providers and support staff to provide dental treatment for selected individuals in need in their local community. These patients need fillings, root canals, extractions, crowns, and dentures, who cannot afford extensive care and have no insurance to cover. These patients may receive pro-bono services to restore their smiles.

As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to work with our team of dental professionals, support staff, and community outreach coordinators to provide affordable, high-quality healthcare for people in need in the community. You can get involved in various ways, including assisting patient care, coordinating community outreach events, and providing administrative support.

Give Kids a Smile
Give Kids A Smile is a national initiative to provide dental care and education to children from low-income families. The WCCDF partners with local dentists and volunteers to offer free screenings, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants to children under 18. The program also includes oral health education and parent involvement activities.

North County Health & Wellness Fair
Oceanside Chamber will hold its Annual North County Health & Wellness Fair. This event provides an opportunity for local health & wellness-related businesses to promote their products and services and provide demonstrations for community members. The North County Health Fair is FREE to the public and a great way to receive information, meet a new health specialist, or learn more about healthy living. Located at the beautiful Oceanside Civic Center Plaza, the North County Health Fair will run concurrently with the popular Downtown Farmer's Market.
